
Key Update under Customs Act, 1962
In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, the CBIC has notified revised Tariff Values for certain imported goods, by amending Notification No. 36/2001-Customs (N.T.).
These amendments come into force from 16th May 2025 and affect key import commodities such as edible oils, precious metals, and scrap materials.

Explanation. – For the purposes of this entry, “gold findings” means a small component such as hook, clasp, clamp, pin, catch, screw back used to hold the whole or a part of a piece of Jewellery in place | 1028 per 10 grams |
