The Government of India has imposed anti-dumping duty on imports of Acrylic Solid Surfaces from China PR, following an investigation by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR). The investigation concluded that these goods were being imported at dumped prices, causing material injury to the domestic industry.
The duty will be applicable for five years from the date of notification and will be levied in Indian currency. The notification outlines the specific product descriptions, tariff classifications, and applicable duty rates. Certain products, such as pure acrylic sheets, acrylic laminates, and polyester solid surface sheets, are excluded from the duty’s scope. The exchange rate for duty calculation will be determined based on the rate applicable on the bill of entry presentation date.
