• Cars manufactured before January 1, 1950, were free for import by Actual Users.
• Policy Conditions (I) and (II) did not apply to these cars.
• Vehicles on public roads remained subject to the Central Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and Rules, 1989.

• Now, cars classified as ‘Vintage Motor Vehicles’ under Rule 81A (1) of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, can be freely imported by Actual Users.
• Policy Conditions 1(I) and 1(II) of Chapter 87 no longer apply to these vehicles.
• Such cars must still comply with the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and relevant rules.
• Additionally, they must meet the conditions specified under Chapter 111A of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, as amended over time.
