𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗞𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝟲𝟬 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗧𝗖 (𝗛𝗦), 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has introduced changes to the import policy for synthetic knitted fabrics under Chapter 60 of the ITC (HS), 2022. Effective from January 1, 2025, to March 31, 2025, this amendment, issued under Sections 3 and 5 of the FT (D&R) Act, 1992, partially modifies Notifications No. 77/2023 and No. 33/2024-25. The update extends the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition for 13 ITC (HS) codes, requiring a CIF value of $3.5/kg or higher for unrestricted imports. However, exemptions apply to Advance Authorisation holders, Export Oriented Units (EOUs), and SEZ units, provided the imported inputs are not sold in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA).
