𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱 & 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 & 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀.

• Rule 8 Amendment: GST registration applicants may be identified using Biometric-based Aadhaar Authentication and document verification based on risk parameters.
• Implementation: The new process is rolled out in Jharkhand and Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 15th February 2025.
• Process Initiation: After submitting Form GST REG-01, applicants receive either:

1. OTP-based Aadhaar Authentication link (continue as usual), or
2. Appointment booking link for Biometric Authentication & document verification at a GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK).

• Appointment Booking: Applicants receiving (b) must book an appointment via the provided link.
• GSK Visit Requirements: Carry:

1. Appointment confirmation e-mail (hard/soft copy)
2. Jurisdiction details (from intimation e-mail)
3. Original Aadhaar & PAN cards
4. Original uploaded documents

• Completion of Registration: ARNs will be generated only after successful biometric authentication and document verification.
• GSK Timings: Operate as per state/UT guidelines.
