Advance Authorisation Scheme allows duty free import of inputs, which are physically incorporated in an export product. In addition to any inputs, packaging material, fuel, oil, catalyst which is consumed / utilized in the process of production of export product, is also be allowed.
Where there is no SION/valid adhoc norms for an export product and where SION has been notified but exporter intends to use additional inputs in the manufacturing process, the eligible exporter can apply for an advance authorisation under this scheme on self declaration and self ratification basis.
Exporters are aware that advance authorisations are issued /obtained under self declaration scheme under para 4.07 of Hand Book of Procedures, in case the Norms for the export product is not fixed as per SION or adhoc norms.
The Advance Authorization Scheme in repeat basis is a scheme where the import of inputs will be allowed to be made duty-free
