The Central Government, exercising its powers under Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, has amended the Import Policy for the item ITC HS 71131921 under Chapter 71 of ITC (HS) 2022 (Schedule–I: Import Policy).
The amendment takes immediate effect and will remain valid till 30.04.2026.

The import policy for unstudded platinum jewellery (ITC HS 71131921) has been revised.
Earlier, the item was freely importable (“Free”).
Now, it has been placed under the “Restricted” category.
Imports will now require specific authorisation/approval as per DGFT’s restricted items procedures.
The change applies immediately and remains effective up to 30 April 2026.
