The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has notified an important update to the RoDTEP Scheme. This update aligns the RoDTEP schedule (Appendix 4R) with the revised First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, as amended through the Finance Act, 2025.
Description of the Notification
In accordance with the powers conferred under Sections 3 and 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and Para 1.02 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, the Central Government has made amendments to Appendix 4R (Schedule of RoDTEP rates and caps), with effect from 1st May 2025.
These changes were necessitated due to modifications in the HS (Harmonized System) codes and classifications brought about under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, via the Finance Act, 2025.
The updated RoDTEP schedule ensures consistency between the customs tariff structure and the applicable remission rates under the RoDTEP scheme.
Where to Find the Updated Rates?

- Smooth Transition: Export documentation and RoDTEP claims filed after 01.05.2025 must reference the new schedule to remain compliant.
- Operational Continuity: Ensures exporters can continue availing the benefits of RoDTEP without interruption due to HS code mismatches.
