India has approved the export of essential commodities to the Republic of Maldives for FY 2025-26 under a bilateral trade agreement. Key commodities include eggs, potatoes, onions, rice, wheat flour, sugar, dal, stone aggregate, and river sand, with specified quantity limits. These exports are exempt from any existing or future restrictions and will be processed through six designated Customs ports: Mundra, Tuticorin, Nhava Sheva, ICD Tughlakabad, Kandla, and Visakhapatnam. Additionally, environmental clearances and compliance with Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) norms are required for river sand and stone aggregate exports.
