The Central Government has issued a notification revising the General Notes Regarding Import Policy under Schedule-I (Import Policy), ITC (HS), 2022. This amendment includes the addition of Land Custom Station (LCS) Darranga as a designated food import entry point in sync with relevant FSSAI notifications.

Updated List of Food Import Entry Points With this amendment, the Land Custom Station (LCS) at Darranga, Assam, has been added to List “A” of Appendix-V to Schedule-I (Import Policy), ITC (HS), 2022. The updated list now includes:

Effect of the Notification
- LCS Darranga is now an authorized food import entry point.
- The General Notes regarding Import Policy under Schedule-I (Import Policy), ITC (HS), 2022, have been updated accordingly.
- The list of food import entry points is now aligned with the latest FSSAI notifications.
- Restrictions on food import entry points for certain items (as per 1579 HS Codes) remain applicable as per List B of Appendix-V.
This amendment enhances food import regulation in India by ensuring compliance with updated FSSAI guidelines. Importers must take note of this revision and ensure proper adherence to import regulations while handling food consignments at LCS Darranga.
